Monday Mayhem’s Triumphant Return! And Bucket List for 6/17-6/23

Posted by on June 18, 2012

Well, well…here we are. Summer break! And in celebration of this reprieve, I announce the return (for the summer months) of Monday Mayhem! Watch for my bedhead, but mostly for the adorable, incredible-growing Seth. The scroll down to see my bucket list for the upcoming week:

Bucket List for 6/17-6/23

  • Do something new with my hair (but not a cut, as I’m growing it out for donation.)
  • Watch Captain America, Hulk, and possibly Iron Man 2 with the fam.
  • Make a pair of pants. Yes, you read that correctly.
  • Get some music onto my iPhone. You know, prove I deserve the technology.
  • Take a carload to the donation center, and finish the “room move” project.

I am excited to see pics of the “new” hair!! I don’t always get to watch the Vlog’s…but I did today!

So, per your request, some books I have read recently & really enjoyed:

Mile markers : the 26.2 most important reasons why women run / Kristin Armstrong. (non-fiction, very motivational – that I think goes beyond running…but it is a lot about running…)

The happiness project : or why I spent a year trying to sing in the morning, clean my closets, fight right, read Aristotle, and generally have more fun / Gretchen Rubin. (non-fiction, very good!)

Firefly Lane / Kristin Hannah. (fiction: LOVE)

House rules : a novel / Jodi Picoult. (fiction: about a boy with Asperger’s…so so so good)

The art of racing in the rain : a novel / Garth Stein. (fiction: love!)

These are just a few of the more recent reads, but if you want some “beach read” type books / author suggestions I have them (my favorite type of read) – seeing as I read ~50 books last year & ~20 this year :)

Art of Racing is in my Goodreads queue. I’ll add some of these others, too!

Well, Seth is pretty cute. It was a little long but I loved the range of emotions he displayed so I kept it. I have a great time looking back on them (especially the ones with the boys, and seeing how they grow!)

I just finished Lottery by Patricia Wood … Another good one to add to your list!
