Slightly less painful than giving birth to a human…
Author: administratorWell, here I am. I’ve just birthed my blog after months of consideration, gestating ideas, and convincing my husband to help me out. There are many correlations between this process and the one I experienced three times bringing the little humans in my family into the world.
It’s for these little people that I’ve finally decided to get a move on and do this thing. I am fraught with guilt, just like many mothers out there, and one thing I’m always flagellating myself over is my failure to “write things in the baby book”. My children say and do funny and interesting things all the time, and I tell stories to people and don’t write them down but I MEAN so well. I’m hoping that, as I am a woman of the new technological age, I will find this blogging thing more user-friendly than those pastel-laden books. Besides, who can find a pen these days when one needs one?
I am a mother. Of three boys. It is crazy, and I must document the craziness so my children of the future will know just HOW crazy their mama was back in the olden days. I mean, come on! I’m the only one ’round these parts without the Y chromosome. My two x’s cannot fully comprehend those little y’s and the distinction they impart to these men in my life.
I am well and truly blessed to have an outstanding and entirely above-average husband and three healthy, hilarious, and handsome young sons. And so far, I still have my sanity.
So, here we go. The birth is only the beginning; let’s see where this little journey takes us. Me and my Ys.
